Hackathon 2020.

The Institute of Afrofuturist Ecology will host a 7 day Hackathon. The Institute of Afrofuturist Ecology Hackathon is an immersive retreat for collaborative computer programming to build new web and mobile services. Black technologist, startup entrepreneurs, activists, creatives, diverse practitioners and academics will collaborate to create usable software with the goal of creating a functioning product by the end of the event. Themes will concentrate on addressing the modern day dilemmas of Black Americans such as improving education, enhancing disaster management and crisis response, solving humanitarian, social and public challenges, increasing black land ownership, facilitating economic justice and restorative justice programs.
